SuStrco - our first conference!

Ladies and gentlemen,

We are proud to announce that the first conference to be delivered by our team actually has been successfully delivered! Yes, SuStrco 2007 is over. And how did it go? Well, let's have a look...

It all started on Wed with the teambuilding Survival game prepared and organized by our dear NTT (National Trainers Team) and the SuStrco OC Team. The idea was for each LC to run 77 laps [1 lap being about 500 m long] during that day's pleasantly worm afternoon, completing funny and challenging tasks from time to time (e.g. running one lap with a Michelin tire/tyre, carrying a person the whole lap on your back, etc.).

Prizes for the first three LCs to have completed the Survivor challenge.

And who were the brave LCs taking part in the painstaking tryout?

LC Praha - the first team to complete the 77 laps, supported by their CEED from Poland and LC coach from Brazil (Señorita Mate). Congratulations!

LC Ostrava - closely following LC Praha, supported by their CEED from China and LC coach (an old guy yet still able to run, and outrun many of the youngsters...)

LC Brno - not taking that much longer, supported by a guest from China (exp. MCVP F - running $) and their LC coach (Mr. $ - let the flowers grow...)

LC Zlin - host of the conference, supported by their LC coach (Ms. i-see-eggs) finishing the challenge in an original way (Note: No signs were stolen nor damaged)

LC Karvina - structurally supported by their LC coach and also by the MC boss (Mr. Jabon), fighting and eventually reaching the goal!

Our dear NTT girls - one crazier than the ohter - Lenka (left) and Hanka (obviously right)

Having survived the run and chase against time and your own inner dwarf talking you into giving it up, we proceeded to the first ever national conference organized by the Olympic MC Team!

Opening plenary - the Olympic MC Team enters the stage. Let's move it...!

Unfortunately, Peťa (our ER) could not be with us, but we thought of her and enjoyed the movie she sent us! Is the dog doing all right?

And as every conference deserves one special guest - the Chair - SuStrco was in no way behind in this business and greatly enjoyed the lead, time-keeping and company of René - current MCP of AIESEC in Lithuania, orginally from Germany.

Want to make René happy? Buy him a McFlurry... or... better two of them!

René did a great job making sure all was running smooth, on time and with the right atmoshpere. Thank you and all the best for the Bad Boys team!

On Day 1, the MC Plan was presented, including the priorities and direction of the team. Then, the LCs had the chance to go through their own plans and think about them in terms of measurables that the new MC Team plans to track (X numbers, members and supporters, most of the numbers being tracked quartely).

On the first day, the LCPs signed an ordeal - their dedication and commitment to Exchange numbers (Just a side-note: Each LC succeeding = 1 bottle of Vodka for the whole MC Team, including the MCP!)

Day 2 was time for simulating the autumn (starting with LTC Agenda preparation, going through RCTM Plan, JDs creation, Talent Planning, Infomeetings Prep, TLs and Newies Prep, all the way to Interviews and Talent Selection). The delegates also attended some trainings, saw some case studies and discussed burning issues (new vocab: fuse = roznětka).

The leadership line of AIESEC in the Czech Republic

The Day 3 brought opportunities for people in AIESEC in the Czech Rep., the autumn flow and a great outdoor closing plenary with no ppts, no sound systems, no computers - just a fresh wind browsing branches of the trees around and mid-summer sun.

The closing photo and the conference was over

And that's the story of our first conference, in short of course. Incredible how fast the time flew by. One could make a conclusion: The same way a close orbit around a black hole slows down the flow of time, a delivery of a conference, being such an intense experience, makes the time flow faster.

See you at our next conference!

Hi guys,

I appreciate that you continue with writing the Czech MC blog. The last two posts with pictures are excellent. It is perfect that everybody knows what's going on via blog and newsletters.

Congratulations to your first national conference. It is great to see all the people together.

I wish that Peta joins you soon.

Take care and enjoy every single day!
