Brazilian Night

Last week it was my birthday...
And to celebrate that, we had a Brazilian Night in the MC Flat! :)

MC Team, Praha, CZU and NTT were there to celebrate, learn about Brazil and enjoy the night...

(Kaca and Barca with the birthday cake)

Of course I also cooked some very typical Brazilian dish...

The name of the dish is FEIJOADA and it's made out of beans...

So, in the plate you can see: FEIJOADA (the black thing... beans with pork meat), ARROZ (rice), FAROFA (it's something made out of some special flour) and LARANJA (orange :P)

And here, the guys enjoying the food:

(people trying FEIJOADA... hmmmm...)

Of course we also had some alcoholic drink... and it was CAIPIRINHA, the most typical brazilian drink!!

(Barca and the CAIPIRINHA)

It is made out of CACHACA (it's made out of sugar cane and it's strong alcohol - around 40%), LIMAO (here you call it limetky - but it's what we would call "lemon" in Brazil, since we don't have the yellow ones) and ACUCAR (sugar)

Let's see how the guys liked it...

And for dessert, we had BRANQUINHOS (also known as "beijinho" in some parts of Brazil)... it's a very sweet candy, that we make boiling condensed milk and coconut or chocolate... and then we make small balls (as you can see in the picture)... they are very typical in children's birthday parties :)

(branquinhos)

After the food, we also had some brazilian presentation, where we talked about the perception that czechs have about Brazil... and I talked (a bit too much) about my country, our regions, our culture, our habits...

Thanks a lot for all the people that were there!!! It was very nice to share a bit of Brazil with you!!! :)

And for the ones that were not there - we'll have many other opportunities to try a little bit of Brazil (I'm looking forward the brazilian party that we have to organize!!)
