Hello from IC

Hello everybody,

greetings from sunny and very hot Istanbul to all of you. Our whole Czech delegation at IC counts 12 people (MC team, Roman, Kaja, Kachne, Majo and Mojco Zlin). Besides us as official delegates, IC is also attended by Reetika (former MC VPX) who has a faci role and by Starosta (former MC VPF) who is finance teamleader in CC. We're very sorry for not updating you earlier but the internet connection here doesn't work very well.

So what's going on here...

Before IC there are usually premeetings of all GNs . Today (Monday) around lunch time, we finished two and half day long premeeting and we’re waiting for the beginning of IC which is gonna to happen tomorrow.

Today we also managed to have a free afternoon so the most of us decided to explore Istanbul a little bit more. After 50 minute travel by bus we managed to get to the centre. You can imagine how pleasant journey it was when we were traveling in an overcrowded bus in more than 30 degreesJ .

As we were not very sure where we are exactly heading to, somebody got a random idea to go for a boat tour. After ER negotiation done by Kaja, we got 50% discount and finally boarded on the boat. When sitting there for more than 30 minutes, we started to doubt if this boat is supposed to leave the coast or if it’s just a fake boat for tourist only to create a nice atmosphere:-) Fortunately, it was a real boat and we went for our Bosphorus tour. The weather was nice and we spent amazing afternoon on the boat taking a lot of pictures and chilling out before IC. People in Turkey do not speak much English so we didn’t manage to ask where the tour finishes but luckily we ended at the same place as we started :-). After finishing our boat tour we explored little bit a local market place and went back by even more overcrowded bus. We had to hurry up because for the evening we organized unformal Czech-Turkish delegation meeting to strengthen our relationships which was also very cool.
