IC venue

The venue

Premeetings and IC are situated at the private University in Istanbul. I have never seen such a nice campus. It’s situated in the mountains in the Asian part of Istanbul so there is a very nice view on the city. The whole campus consists of many buildings for lectures, a park, a swimming pool, tennis courts and also university dorms where we are accommodated right now.

The site is really cool despite some very strict restrictions that we have to keep. Boys and girls are separated in different buildings and there is no possibility to even enter the dorm of different gender. Everything is controlled by camera system and all the time there are security guys. The owner is keen on having dogs so there are about 20-30 dogs around (the dogs also sometimes randomly come to plenaries:-) It’s also not allowed to drink alcohol at all and it was not allowed to drink alcohol outside but somehow this rule is not kept any more :-) All parties are organized on the tennis court. It's really cool to party outside especially in such a hot weather.
